Privacy Policy
KPP PASS ("we", "the app") is a free practice platform for the Malaysian JPJ KPP01 driving theory test. This policy explains what data we collect and how it is used. We keep it simple: we do not collect any personal information, and we never sell data.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- No name, email address, phone number or identity documents
- No location data
- No contacts, photos, files or device identifiers such as IMEI/advertising ID
- No payment information (the app is free and has no purchases)
Information We Collect
1. Practice data (anonymous)
When you answer a question, the app may record: the question number, the option you selected, whether it was correct, the practice mode and the interface language. This is linked only to a randomly generated anonymous ID, which contains no personal information. We use it solely to find questions that are frequently answered incorrectly, so we can check and improve them.
2. Display name and progress (optional, stored by you)
You may enter a display name of your choice. The app generates a random ID (e.g. KPP-XXXXXX) so that you can restore your progress on another device. Your progress (completed questions, wrong-answer book, exam history, study plan) is stored on your device and, when a backend is configured, backed up under that random ID. The display name is free text — please do not enter real personal details.
3. Feedback you send
If you use the feedback or contact form, we receive the message you write, together with the question number (if applicable) and your anonymous ID.
Where Data Is Stored
Practice progress is stored locally in your browser or app storage. Anonymous practice events, feedback and progress backups are stored on Supabase (a hosted database service). Anonymous keys used by the app allow writing data only; they cannot read other users' data.
Children
The app is intended for driving-licence candidates (generally 16 years and above). It does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share your data with advertisers or third parties. Data is used only to operate and improve the app.
Data Deletion
You can clear all local data at any time by clearing the app/browser storage or uninstalling the app. To request deletion of the backed-up progress associated with your random ID, contact us with that ID (see below) and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The latest version will always be available at this address.
